Good biosecurity is vital in improving flock health and productivity by helping to keep out poultry diseases such as avian influenza. In particular we advise keeping your drinker systems clean by using water sanitisers. CID Clean is safe for birds whilst the drinking system is in use. For example adding medicines and nutritional supplements in to the drinking water creates a biofilm which is a breeding ground for bacteria. CID clean is 50% hydrogen peroxide therefore it will remove slime deposits (biofilm) and traces of medicaments & vitamins.
CID 2000 is an alternative option which is suitable for use when a thorough clean of the system is required. It is an acidifier, cleaner and sanitiser. However, it cannot be used whilst the birds are using the water system.
