The Rabbit Drop Box is a live catch trap. It is capable of catching multiple rabbits in a single setting.
The drop box is made out of hard wearing reinforced fibreglass, with a durable weldmesh cage that sits beneath the tipping mechanism to contain the rabbits.
The balance system automatically resets itself after each catch. And an inspection hatch allows you to see what you have caught without having to open the trap. Any non-target species can be quickly and simply released.
Once installed, the rabbit drop box will endure for many years with minimal maintenance needed.
You can swiftly relocate the trap by firmly securing the top unit to the wire mesh cage. Locking the trapping mechanism for a few days is crucial to allow rabbits to become accustomed to using it before setting the trap. This can lead to big catches with very little effort.
Rabbit drop boxes should be used in conjunction with galvanised wire rabbit netting, which will channel them through the tunnel and force them to use the trap.
In soft or sandy ground, you have the option to line the sides of the dug-out hole with plastic sheeting or thin timber. However, it’s important not to cover the base as this could lead to water retention issues.

We recommend placing rabbit drop boxes along a fence line – the fence acts as a funnel and can help confine rabbits to one space. Rabbit fencing alone is not an effective deterrent as rabbits can chew through it.
