How to Set Up a Fox Trap

This Fox Trap is a very effective trap for vermin control and for farmers and gamekeepers to protect their chickens and other animals. The trap comes flat packed with instructions, making it very easy to set up. We have also put together an instructional guide to show you how to set it up step by step.

We recommend using a Metal Securing Pins to secure your trap to the ground. We also recommend using bait for best results.

  1. Remove the trap from the packaging

Start by setting up the fox trap by removing it from packaging and set up vertically to open up.

2. Flip the fox trap horizontally and insert the rods where they correspond

Once the fox trap is open, flip it horizontally and check the open end, bait hook, entry level door and rods are all there.

Then, you will have to insert the rods in the corresponding part of the trap for it to work correctly:

• one L shaped rod should go where the open end is and click to fasten it and lock the door
• one long rod should go on the opposite side as part of the door locker
• another long rod should go at the top to act as an activator for the trap to be set
• finally, one L shaped rod should be pushed through the eyelets at the top

3. Place the bait onto the bait hook

When you place the bait onto the bait hook and the fox goes for the bait, the gate will drop trapping the animal!

4. Finish the set up by locking the fox trap!

To set the trap lift the door up and place the long trigger rod through the weldmesh strip.
