WHY USE NADINS HYDRAMIX LIME

Hydramix Lime – 25kg is a unique blend of mixed lime for use in cow cubicles, poultry and stock sheds. Hydramix provides a rapid rise in pH yet is gentle enough not to burn. It effectively controls E. coli and aids in the prevention of mastitis and digital dermatitis. Safe to use as a single bedding material this one product has multiple applications.

Hydramix Lime is also used in Fisheries management of Silt

Applying lime, over the winter months can help to breakdown existing silt.

It is important to point out that this is not a silver bullet and you will not gain metres of new water back in one dose. Results are definitely mixed. Several factors can contribute to this, such as the organic content and pH of the silt, dosage and application method, as well as water conditions.

Regular treatments are required to keep on top of the silt. It is also important to manage the source of the organics in the first place. Cut back trees, manage aquatic plants and other inputs such as stock levels, bait, bird waste etc.
