Cleanflo Nipple Drinker Review

Sabina at Feather & Egg has kindly tried, tested and reviewed the Cleanflo Nipple Drinker for Collins Nets.

Cleanflo Nipple Drinker Review

At Feather & Egg we have recently trialled a new drinking system so that we have fresh water available both inside and outside of our brooder sheds. We used the New Cleanflo Nipple Drinking system.

It was relatively straightforward to set up and I had it up and running in under 20 minutes in Shed 2, which is currently housing our 15 week old pure breed pullets. However, given the drinker height is entirely adjustable, we could also use this from day olds upwards.

I’m a huge fan of the nipple drinkers over the traditional manual drinkers as the risk of disease is lowered significantly as the birds are never sharing water. We used it with a header tank so we could still dose the tank with multivitamin with ease.

The outside stand is sturdy enough on our rather uneven rearing paddock, and has stood the test of time with the 15 weekers, which are now full of confidence.

It gets the thumbs up from us!

Best Wishes, Sabina

Feather & Egg

Founded in 2014 and expanded over the years. Sabina is passionate about Pure & Rare Breed Poultry.

They now have 33 breeding pens of pure breed Chickens.

They rear in a free range system from about 7 weeks old, across 6 rearing sheds which house around 800 pullets in each. In addition to the pullets, they also hatch & rear domestic ducks and Geese.

The majority go off to domestic homes (a lot of families) from point of lay. They are all good layers from Feb to October/November. There is lots of beautiful colours, and none are the typical brown hen that you may think of when thinking about chickens!
