What mesh size is best for golf practice nets?

Our golf practice cage netting uses a 20mm x 20mm green mesh, sized to stop golf balls cleanly while remaining durable enough for regular use. This differs from our 28mm square mesh perimeter netting, which is designed to catch stray balls over larger distances rather than withstand direct, repeated impact.
