Is this mouse trap safe to use around children and pets?

Used inside a lockable bait station, the trap is kept enclosed and out of reach. We’d always recommend housing the trap in a station such as the Beta Bait Station rather than setting it out unprotected, particularly anywhere children, pets or other animals have access.
