How do fish cages work?

Although the process of containing a fish will change depending on the type of cage, the basic premise is that fish cages work when they are placed in certain areas and left there for a period of time, to try and lure fish into the cage. Once contained, the mesh netting attempts to protect the fish from unwanted outside predators.
